Global private financial group supports the education of underprivileged girls in India as part of an increased commitment to programs that help solve crucial social and environmental issues in the US and abroad.

SAN FRANCISCO, DECEMBER 2021 – US Capital Global is a longstanding supporter of Sandipani Muni School, a charitable day-school that provides free education, daily meals, and medical care to over 1,500 girls from vulnerable families in and around Vrindavan, India. The school is the flagship project of Food for Life Vrindavan (FFLV), a registered NGO serving the rural communities of Vrindavan, which, active since 1991, also runs grassroots environmental cleaning, recycling, tree planting, and organic farming projects in the area.

On average, only one in every 100 girls in India will finish school; the rest are married off during childhood. FFLV aims to prevent child marriage, which is often seen as a quick-fix solution to economic strains, by providing the daughters of impoverished families with a free education at Sandipani Muni School from primary school up to university.

“After such a difficult 20 months in which Covid-19 hit the world so hard, there is still no relief for the community in Vrindavan,” said Ineke Zondag, President at FFLV USA. “The second wave was devastating, and when there was finally some relief, a terrible wave of dengue fever came over our community. In these harsh times we are so grateful to have support from our friends at US Capital Global. Thank you! Our schools are open again, and it’s such a joy to see the girls back at their desks. We have dedicated two classrooms to US Capital Global.”

“Sandipani Muni School is an outstanding project and a highly worthy cause to support,” said Jeffrey Sweeney, Chairman and CEO at US Capital Global. “Over the years, they have worked to secure the futures of thousands of underprivileged girls in rural India, and even in times of great struggle have shown immense resilience and dedication to communities in need. We are humbled by the video the students at Sandipani Muni School have sent us, and will continue to support them in every way we can.”
